Dear Members:
This is to keep you informed of the upcoming Annual General Meeting and the schedules of two talks. The subjects of both talks would be of great interests to you. You may lean some effective ways to deal with the stress at work caused by the increasing demands in workload from the first speaker, Ms. Sallie Yu. The second talk by Mr. T.W. Tsin would give you some insight into the required preparation for work in confined spaces. Please make plans to take part in all of these events which are being organized for you with your interests in mind.
The Annual General Meeting for this year has been scheduled for Friday, September 22, 2000. Please mark the date in your diary and watch out for the announcement of the venue, time and the details of the program.
As the AGM approaches, members are invited to nominate candidates to stand for election to fill the positions of the next Executive Council. The Council composition should consist of 4 Officers and not less than two members. The candidates should team up to form a chamber(s) for election. The nomination must reach the Secretariat by August 1, 2000.
Membership fees are due January, 2000. Members are reminded to send in their payment by crossed cheque, payable to the “Hong Kong Institute of Occupational and Environmental Hygiene” or “香�鄞噸~及環境衛生學會”. A penalty of 5% may be imposed on late payments after the AGM.
The current subscription rates are:
Fellow $ 350. Affiliated Members Individual $100
Member $ 300 Company $3,000
Associate $ 200
